“Whatever you do [whatever your task may be], work from the soul [that is, put in your very best effort], as [something done] for the Lord and not for men,”

Colossians 3:23 AMP

It’s been a few weeks since I have written anything here on the blog… admittedly the purpose of the blog was originally for me to post my daily study of the Bible, while completing the 40 Days with Jesus book from the series The Chosen.

I jumped in with both feet and began chronicling my daily musings. I began to quickly realize that I wasn’t spending enough time with the material being provided to me, as I was hurriedly attempting to write things down before transcribing it on my site. God put a full stop to that after a few weeks. He wanted me to slow down, take stock of what I was doing and re-evaluate why he was pushing me to write again. I tried to ignore him but he prevailed, as he always does, and he got me interested in other topics to keep me occupied until I was ready to listen to him. I was still invested in the Word, and praying to God daily but I was no longer drowning in what I thought He wanted me to do.

…I had an entire post written and published as part 1 of two and somehow I managed to delete it. I had just finished rereading it before publishing part two… and setting up for part three but when I opened up the app to edit part two, I somehow published an earlier edition of this post. the bulk of the narrative disappeared and now part two has been left hanging without any lead up. Which leads me to believe that what I wrote in this section was not meant to be.

God works in mysterious ways and even technical errors are His doing. Everything happens because God has designed it to. I know why he chose to delete this part… because it included my story before Him, and even though it is a part of me, the only story I need to be telling is my story after Jesus.
